Mark Krench, a Detroit native, lived in Los Angeles for ten years where he scored feature films (Ceremony, A Marriage of Inconvenience), documentaries (AIDS: A Medical Alternative), short films, trailers, and PSAs. He and Greg have previously worked together on other projects. Mark is currently working on various parts of the score of "Earthlings."
While in Los Angeles he attended the Film Scoring Program at the University of Southern California where he studied with a number of film and television composers including David Raksin (Laura, The Bad and the Beautiful), academy award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes) and Christopher Young (Runaway Jury, Spiderman 3).
He also participated in the BMI Film Scoring Workshop headed by composer Earl Hagen (I Spy, The Andy Griffith Show). Before moving to Los Angeles Mark studied music under Dr. James Hartway at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he received a Masters Degree in Music Theory and Composition.
He also studied music composition with Prof. Robert W. Jones at Schoolcraft Community College. Mark currently works out of his studio in Wyandotte, Michigan where he lives with his wife, Jacqueline and their black cat Ebony.
