Saroj Khan joins “Earthlings” to Change the World

Animated aliens appeal to other big talents to help give kids hope

Saroj-KittyMumbai, India, March 24, 2008:  Saroj Khan has worked with most of the biggest stars in Bollywood, but now she working with entertainers from other planets.  She is doing the choreography for “Earthlings,” a series for kids that combines animation and live action into a unique educational entertainment experience.  “It feels great to be a part of Earthlings,” says Saroj, adding, “It’s a dream come true.  I love cartoons and I’m excited to make these great alien characters dance.”

“Earthlings” is being produced by Goa based Pala Flicks (www.palaflicks.com).  Greg Acuna, the show’s creator says, “I’m delighted to be working with Saroj-ji.  She’s an amazing choreographer and wonderful human being.  We are appealing to other big talents to join us in making and promoting something for kids that will give them hope and foster cooperation instead of the often violent children’s shows on television.”

Saroj added, “the concept is out of this world.  Imagine a show for children with the slogan ‘One Planet, One People.’  It’s all about making everyone happy.”

Preproduction is almost complete on the series and production of the first episode starts in early April.  Earthling is to be developed in India for worldwide distribution.   The cross platform content is for six to eleven year olds and will empower children to think for themselves with open minds.  The huge backlash against violence in programming for children makes it a perfect time for this type of content.

Meet and greet with Saroj on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at FICCI Frames, Hotel Renaissance, 2 & 3 B near Chimayanand Ashram, Powai , Mumbai – 400087.
